Experience an “upper class” type of way to carry on a conversation by using the new LG Versace Unique. Versace is at it once again, but this time, hopes to strike gold, literally. Versace’s first attempt to enter the multi-billion dollar cell phone industry was back in 2006 when they debuted with the Samsung Ersus E500 phone. The E500 featured a 1.4 mega-pixel camera, 1.76 display, but the collaboration with Samsung ended up not being a match made in heaven.
Versace Unique’s Specifications:
- 3 inch touch screen
- 3G
- 5 mega pixel camera with flash
- email client
- MP3/video player
- Dolby Mobile Surround Sound
- 30 hours of playtime
- 18K yellow gold finish
- 316L grade stainless steel inlay frame (Optional)
Versace’s competition includes the likes of Prada, Dolce, Armani, and Tag Huer. All of these luxury companies are relatively new to the mobile phone game except for Prada, who made a unique upgrade to its second release adding quad-band technology, slide-out qwerty keyboard, and a 7.2Mbps HSDPA for connectivity.
As far as pricing, some sources report that prices will be in the $5000 range, however, we have yet to be able to confirm this. If you are thinking about strolling down to your local AT&T and purchasing one of these phones, get that out of your head right now. The only way to get your hands on a Versace Unique is in a Vesace flagship store, or other high-end outlets such as fine jewelry or exclusive watch stores. A solid date for the launch of this phone has yet to be announced, but expect an early June release.
These “high-end” phones are not geared towards tech enthusiast as a whole, but people who enjoy the finer things in life and do not mind paying a couple extra thousand bucks to get it. I would have to admit that aside from the Prada phone, no other luxury phone has appealed to me besides the Versace Unique. Vertu’s Ascent and Armani’s mobile phones resemble a cheap Nokia “knock off” with a stamp on it. The luxury factor is almost non existent as opposed to the Prada and Versace phones. How much would u be willing to pay for this phone, 500-1000, 1000-2000, 3000-4000, 5000 or higher?
